Here are 4 things that you can use in your practice TOMORROW~!

1. Speaker icon in Google Slides
You are not 'stuck' with the speaker icon when you add audio to your slidedeck in Google Slides.

Add the audio that you would like onto your slide deck. Then right-mouse click on the speaker icon, and scroll down till you find Replace image.

Now, choose what you would like! I made a sticker with a picture of me listening.

You could make some specific buttons for different tasks. For example you could make a reading button, music button, word (I am thinking spelling words or foreign languages) button, or a pronunciation button.

 2. Bouncy Balls

This is one that my daughter, who teaches third grade, showed me. I can see so many applications for this. It is basically a fun noise meter!

Go to Bouncy Balls, and click Get Bouncing

Once you click Get Bouncing the balls will start bouncing and there will be options that appear on the right. Set the sensitivity, the amount of items to bounce,  set the theme, and determine what will happen when the threshold is breached.

I do enjoy the eyeballs!

  3. PDF Candy

This is just a really handy site. PDF Candy is a website that is a free PDF editor. Edit your pdfs and/or convert your pdfs - your choice! Select what you would like to do and then bring in your file.

There is also an extension but I try to not have too many extensions because they can wreak havoc, so I just go to the website.

4. Record to Slides
Last but not least, the one I have been waiting for (finally) a Record to Slides extension.

Add the extension to Google Chrome. The next time you open a Google Slide, you will see a blue camera icon next to the Present button.

Now, here is what I do not like about this extension (don't get me wrong, I like the extension or I would not be sharing it), when you click the camera button a large pop down menu appears on top of the slide. In other words, you really need to know what is on that slide that you are presenting before you begin.

Make your camera and microphone selection and who this will be shared with then click the green concentric circles icon to begin recording. The icon will turn red so that when you are finished you click the red concentric circle icon.

Then click Ok.

It will take a few moments to process the video but it will appear on the slide. The same options apply for any video that is placed on Google Slides so format away!
